Ancho Chile Salsa Cremosa

This recipe is my home-made version of Herdez brand chipotle salsa cremosa, which is a delicious store-bought sauce, but with that, comes the added ingredients for preservation. We eat this sauce on everything from savory breakfast, to tacos, to curry, and much more.

Shopping List

Ingredients

1 cup unsweetened, unflavored plant milk OR water
1 Tbsp lime juice
2 Tbsp avocado oil
1 cup blanched & slivered almonds
1/4 cup tomatoes, roughly chopped
1/4 cup onion, roughly chopped
1 small handful fresh cilantro
1 jalapeno
2 tsp cumin
1-2 garlic cloves
1 Tbsp + 1 tsp ancho chile powder
salt to taste

Directions

Blend Ingredients until smooth. Store in the refrigerator
