Shopping List
Ingredients:
- Oyster mushrooms
- 1 Tbsp stone ground mustard or mustard
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp mustard powder (Optional)
Sauce:
- 1 cup Buffalo Sauce
- 1 tsp of tapioca flour (Optional for thicker sauce)
Wet Batter:
- 1 cup of flour
- 1/2 cup of arrowroot or cornstarch
- 1 tsp of onion powder
- 1 tsp of garlic powder
Dry Batter:
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 cup of panko
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp of garlic powder
- salt to taste
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 pack of plant-based rolls
- Ribboned cucumbers or slices of cucumbers
- Dill pickles
- Sliced sweet peppers
- vegan ranch or sauce of choice
Directions
- Prepare the mushrooms and remove the stems. Add them to a bowl and massage the mustard, garlic, and onion powder into them. Move to the side.
- Create wet and dry batter. Add mushrooms to wet and dry batter: Fry or air fry.
- Add 1 tbsp of water to tapioca flour and mix. Add buffalo sauce and tapioca slurry to a saucepan mix and cook on low for 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens. Do not overcook. Toss mushrooms in sauce.
- Cook fries and build sliders with pickles, sweet peppers, mushrooms, ranch, and cucumbers on rolls. Enjoy
